The full-day conference will include a continental breakfast, a renowned keynote speaker, five breakout sessions, a networking lunch, a general session, wine reception, and more!

Our keynote speaker is Jay Love, author, consultant and president of Bloomerang, Inc. Jay is a member of the AFP International Board of Trustees. The day also features Claire Axelrad: fundraising coach, blogger, and featured expert for Bloomerang, Network for Good, andTopNonprofits/ThirdSectorToday.

Attendees will hear from Autumn Rossi of Hyashi Wayland on the new tax law and from Liza Horvath of Monterey Trust Management on planned giving strategies.  Alicia Hernandez Sanchez of CSUMB will present a two-hour session on grant writing. Closing out the day will be a special presentation direct from the AFP International Conference: Fundraising for Introverts by Vinney Arora, Ann-Marie Meacham, and Matthew Taylor Siegel of the Silicon Valley AFP chapter.

2018 AFP Chamberlain Scholar

AFP Monterey Bay Chapter is pleased to announce our 2018 Chamberlain Scholar, Oana Alexan. Oana will attend the AFP International Conference in New Orleans in the spring of 2018. Oana is the Development Director at Pajaro Valley Shelter Services. She is looking forward to learning about how to maximize her potential in fundraising to support Pajaro Valley Shelter Services in empowering homeless families. We look forward to hearing about Oana’s experience at the conference when she returns.
